XV107 (cn 837) "James Nicholson VC". With British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher aboard for visit to celebrate Australia's Bicentennial. Engines shutdown at 2pm. Mrs Thatcher met WA Premier Peter Dowding, & Australia's Minister for Defence, Kim Beazley. High security - police escorted her car and were deployed on every bridge over the road from airport into Perth. Mrs Thatcher left Perth at midday the next day on XV107 to Alice Springs and later to Melbourne. First flt 22.3.68, del 17.4.68. Cvtd to C.1K 6.96.
