Haven't any a.netters acted like that when they saw their first 747?

The train guy was a bit much, wasn't he?

Hi!

He seems like a normal anetter or train geek except he is saying what is normally going through our heads. I envy guys like that, to get so much satisfaction from something so simple. He definitely seems a lot happier than I ever am so I reckon I'm the loser. The video would have been better without him talking all over it though. Looked like a nice peaceful station with a cool train which is enough for me!

Many thanks,

Pierre

Somehow, I can see some of us here freaking out just like the guy.. just internally, over certain planes/liveries.

I heard about this guy on Pittsburgh's 105.9 The X morning show all last week. Apparently after a show one of the hosts got ahold of a prominent leader in the Foamer community. After some discussion about their hobby he asked the foamer about this guy and his video. Apparently this guy was not pleased with the question nor this individual and his videos, and the conversation ended shortly thereafter.

This guy is a little obsessive, but I can't say I didn't get a little excited when seeing a C5 take off from my vantage point on the ramp during Wings over Pittsburgh!

Classic enthusiast freak out. Not gonna lie when I see an old Russian plane or my first A380 or 748 I was like that on the inside at least.

Even though I was only about 12 , I think I had a similar reaction when I saw my first IL86, (for some reason I was obsessed with this aircraft at the time)

I agree with previous posters. It is great to see someone so happy over something like that. I wish I had a hobby that brought me that much joy.

Still, I doubt he gets laid a lot

That video is just begging to be autotuned.

Seriously, listen right about 0:40 and tell me that he doesn't already sound like he's singing.

He's got the iron horse desease which is life-long and uncurable.

His excitement is understandable. Two vintage locomotives, wow. And they should repaint that BL2 in a color of a road that actually operated it.

When guys get older, the toys get bigger, simple fact.

Now, look what happened yesterday in Pasadena with all those scientist freakin' out. They had a good reason as well. It's human, nothing else.

I'm pretty sure many a.netters are like that when they see certain aircraft...I was exactly like that inside my head when I saw the Antovov An-225 for the first and only time. I had been waiting to see that aircraft for weeks and then I woke up at 4AM to go to the airport and see it. Just a difference in subject... I suppose most of us are the same with him

That video is a parody...This is the original... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQSNhk5ICTI&feature=related

Also the train video posted here is certainly not a parody of that, it's real.

What's this "inside" business?   I happened to be aboard a BA 777 landing at LHR from EWR. We taxied RIGHT behind the SQ A380 that had just completed its first ever revenue flight from SIN to LHR sittinig at the gate ON MY SIDE OF THE PLANE. OK, I didn't put on a scene like this guy because I didn't want to be walked off the plane in handcuffs, but I certainly told my seatmates (who I didn't know) all about it. The looks on their faces were priceless.

And when the first LAN 767 departed SFO, my husband certainly made noises like this guy as it left. There were a bunch of us hooting and hollaring when the first LH A380 landed at SFO, too.
