There are lobbyists. You will find the same on the left. These are not your average Republicans.

They refer to there house as Republican shanghai la. This is what is influencing the Republican party. Like my mom always said, "The apple does not fall far from the tree".

Quote:
About $1 million of the top lobbyists’ contributions, or 57 percent, went to Democrats, while $715,000, or 40 percent, went to Republicans.

. . .

Jeffrey J. Peck, a top Democratic lobbyist, gave $46,925, all to Democrats, including Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware, for whom he used to work. His biggest contribution, $28,500, went to the campaign committee for Senate Democrats.

“I’m a creature of the Senate,” said Mr. Peck, whose clients include drug companies and private equity firms. “The more Senate Democrats there are, the better for business, and the better for the country.”

Obviously there is a ton of dirt on both sides of the aisle.

Not any more than the Democratic party.

But don't they cling to guns and religion? And book banning?

Maybe that might be how you see it, though to be honest I only wish it was less of a challenge to bash them. It is like shooting fish in a barrel.

The government needs to get off their backs. As you can see they are being stifled by the government.

In one thread, all Republicans are poor, dumb, ignorant rednecks, and in the next, we're all rich, greedy bastards who don't care about anyone who makes less money than us. I'm always confused by the stereotypes of the left.

You know what else is funny? I don't know too many people in the armed forces who make enough money to live in places like "Republican shanghai la" but funny thing is the majority of our military personnel vote Republican in November.  scratchchin

Third, why don't you post a picture of Ted Kennedy's house? You know, that one with the nice view of Cape Cod that Ted Kennedy decided was so nice, he blocked the legislation that would have put a windfarm in Cape Cod, and ruining the view from his home? Or the Clinton's house? They have a nice mansion up there in New York from what I understand. Or what about good old John Edwards? Oh that's right. I forgot. John Edwards, who gets $400 haircuts, clearly understands the middle and lower classes.

Is this the same estate that has been in the family for how many years. That I believe he inherited it. Though I could find a photo if you like. Let me know.

I am anti-gun and not ashamed of it. It is a figure of speech, meaning you can not miss.

I thought I heard him being asked how many houses "he" owned..may be wrong, but if that's the case, then as I understood it, the correct answer would be none, since they appeared to be in his wife's name and/or trust...and thus getting correct answer that media wanted could be difficult as it's not directly his concern.

As far as the 5M thing, I heard that not as a serious answer, but it was taken as such...and for some circles, that amount is considered lower class...just depends on the people involved.

Oh, would that be from that moonshine money the Kennedy estate was built on? Yes, the Kennedy family is a fine example of the American elite, moonshine runners, rapists, drunks and cowardly river litterers. And thats only what we know about....

I noticed you didn't offer to find pictures of the Clinton's mansion or Edward's mansion, or respond to the little fact that Edwards gets $400 haircuts but can somehow identify with the common man.

So I'll ask again - what makes the Republican lobbyists who live in "Republican Shanghai La" any worse than these Democrats?

Quoting Luv2fly (Thread starter):

Well it's good to know that Obama's $4.2 million that he earned last year puts him in the middle class then.

No it was to show the obvious waste of money that this Republican is doing, it shows no fiscal conservation in the least. And to be totally honest I would be happy to show a democrat wasting in this way if you have the video to post.
