I was traveling last night, so I didn't have a chance to start this thread up then.

Anyway, Carly Fiorina is speaking now. Great CEO of Hewlett-Packard, but as a convention speaker ....zzzz....... I'd rather listen to a loop of Joe Lieberman speeches over the past ten years.

I can't wait to hear from Governor Palin. I am so confident that she will have a great speech tonight.

I also can't wait to hear from Mitt Romney who is such a great public speaker and can attack with the best of them -- which certainly needs to be done after the liberal DNC/MSM fiasco.

What an eloquent, yet exciting public speaker.

I am looking forward to Sarah Palin's speech too!

Did you notice the  Wink ? I'm not planning on going for the pink team until I get a lengthy prison sentence.

That's an unfair accusation. Look, I think we all did stupid things in high school no matter how conservative or liberal your parents were. It's unfair to suggest that Palin doesn't hold strong family values because her daughter made a mistake -- one that could've happened to a lot of us. That said, the fact that Palin will support her daughter and support her decision to keep the baby is even more important in my mind.

Anyway, what a fantastic, funny speech by Romney. The man is caustically brilliant. Romney was my vote for GOP nominee from day one (if the GOP nomination wasn't already decided by the time the process came to Texas) and he was my pick for VP. However, I'm more thrilled with Palin!

Shame you missed last night. Ole Fed had them fired up. They also did a great salute to Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael A. Monsoor who was awarded the CMH post humously for his actions in Iraq. The man who adopted the other bangladesh baby that Cindy McCain brought back gave a moving tribute to her that was more enlightening than anything I have read in the press. Shame on NBC for not having the convention floor audio up under the President when he was speaking. I've got the dvr recording the events tonite and I look forward to seeing them when I get home.

For a moment there I thought he was pulling for Obama with all that "you want something to change" talk.  biggrin

He was one of the few Republican candidates I liked.
I still wouldn't have voted for him though.

See my comments above. He's a dope.

Damn, the Republicans should've put Romney on before Palin. Lingle and Giuliani are fine speakers, but they simply don't generate a lot of excitement.

Why are they mocking Obama's community service like it's an evil thing that he turned down his salary to go into the community.

Mind numbing...
