Congrats to my Tribe! Clinched their first Division crown in 6 years, and are on their way to the Post-Season! Jake Westbrook was dominant in 7 innnings against hte A's, and brought home a 6-2 win for the Tribe.

Now the race is on in the AL for the best record, with all four playoff teams still with a shot for the best record. It's been a good sports year in CLE, and the Indians just made it better.

Sorry, Piercy, White Sox lost their heart when they traded Aaron Rowan, and haven't been the same since. You're in CLE, get on the Tribe bandwagon now.  Big grin

Congrats to the Tribe from a member of Red Sox nation... Cleveland's a really good team with a great pitching staff.

Hopefully between them they can eliminate the Wankees and the Hermosa Beach Angels of Simi Valley and meet in the ALCS Big grin

You can only punch him for resigning Ozzie for his new deal. I'm not sure the Rowand deal was as big a loss for the Sox. On his current course, Ozzie's going to get himself fired before the end of next year. Put him near Jay Mariotti if you want him fired more quickly.

At the start of the day, IIRC, the Indians, BoSox and Angels were just about even for the AL lead, with NY just behind. It's pretty strange - those 4 teams will be the 4 playoff teams, but the Yankees could still get home-field.

I just hope the Cubs play consistently well. If they do that, they have as good a shot as anyone at winning it all.

I like Ozzie, and he was spot on with Mariotti  yes

wtf was with him not trading Dye, though?

Ugh.... I'll just shoot myself...

Figures, 2 years ago the 2 teams I love, this year could be the teams I hate...
