I parked my car close to a short wall and when I left the parking I didn't see it, so I turned right and... I heard a strange noise....

This is the result: disaster

Disaster? Hardly. This should be easily repairable by a compenent body shop mechanic.

Don't overreact. Yeah, it's not in the pristine condition that it was but we're talking about an inanimate object here. As long as YOU are physically OK, it's not even close to the "disaster" category!

If you don't improve your driving experience ...
... your car surely will look like this one soon:

Still, even in the most arid desert is an airport somewhere ...

If that's the extent of the damage, I'd say you got off fairly lucky.

Unless it's a lease or something, I probably wouldn't bother getting it repaired.

It gives the car character now.
But nevertheless, an easy fix as has been said.

At first, I thought you damaged it by putting a VW sticker on one of the wheels...
THEN I saw the scratch... ouch!  duck

Did you know Taylor Swift has a STAR to BNA named after her? No, I'm not kidding.

Yes, that's probably what it would cost, which is probably why I wouldn't fix it if it weren't a lease.

It always sucks getting your car scratched, but that's life.

I bought a 2003 Honda Accord in 2005, so it was still in excellent condition when I took ownership. About a two weeks after I got the car, one of my numbnuts co-workers nailed their door into my body panel. Aggravating to say the least, because the car was still brand new (to me).

Left a smudge of white paint that I couldn't get off the silver body, but nothing I would bother repairing. I'm driving this car into the ground anyway.

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing backing into a spot in our parking garage...pissed me off, but the car needs to be painted anyway so no biggie...

Do not feel bad. My 2005 Honda Accord was less than a year old when I backed it into a poll.  Yeah sure

Really? You can get a factory-quality paint job for $2500...if you don't bother with the rim the small area of paint that needs to be fixed (there is no structural damage...) shouldn't cost more than $200 I think.

See, I told you so! It wasn't a "disaster" after all! And you got it fixed quick!

Looks to me like they could have at least washed it for you though.

Yes, you were right.

They could wash it, but it's still raining....

I got a pretty nasty gash to the side of my car as I was dropping my parents off at JFK. A bus decided to plough on through and squeezed himself next to me. The Port Authority police decided it was my fault because I shouldn't been there to begin with - which is total bullshit since I was in the drop off zone. I just left and touched up the scratches myself.
