Very boring film and campaign. I agree it looks similar to the AF campaign, must be the same company, but AF campaign is more classy and stylish.

Btw, the beach of the film is certainly not in Zaanvoort... Big grin

It does seem very similar to the AF commercials, the music and scenery especially. As for the actual commercial, it's a bit boring and with the constant talking people would just zone out and not pay any attention. I don't like it when airlines don't show any of their aircraft, cabins or staff, all this had was a small A330 you could barely see.

Although a little Air France like (on the other hand, they are one company, so maybe this is the start for a common corporate image), I must say that I like the new campaign.

To bad to see the swan go, as those commercials always gave you a majestic feeling thanks to that gracious white bird.

Cheers!  wave

In the beginning i thought it was going to be an AF commercial. I thought it was a bit boring actually and nothing with the commercial had anything to do with the airline, except for some of the things that voice was yacking about.

It's like a Japanese car commercial.

You show a beach and a shell and boats...but never a plane (OK, there's that sliver of one at the end of the commercial...)

They removed the swan because KL is not the same...there is nothing "majestic" in flying KLM nowadays...AF has stolen KL swan!

Btw, they have also removed the slongan "the reliable airline"...guess why?

Not enthused by this advert.

And the whole theme is somewhat borrowed from a secondary marketing line pontificated by Singapore Airlines in the 1990s - "It's not just about the destination, it's about the journey" (or something similar)

A couple of months ago I was contacted by KLM to give my opinion (as a FB elite member) about a potential new marketing campaign.
I saw two very concept versions of a campaign which I was asked to comment on. I am glad they picked this version as the final version. Believe me, the other version was very childish. It was kind of a fairy tale explaning that every passenger is a king. Yeah right!
I must say I prefer this more subtile version.
I commented that it felt very much as an AF commercial, especially the fly-over of an a/c (clearly edited as well).

I think we are getting prepared for one corporate image. This is just the first step in that direction.
