GIG = 2 x Daily - B744 + A332
GRU = 2 x Daily - B77W + A332
EZE = 1 x Daily - B77W
SCL = 1 x Daily - B772ER

Thanks FlySSC, and seems that AF continues with strong focus on South America as the 4 markets above will receive some upgrade compared to this summer. Good to see the 77W back to GRU, the Daylight consolidated at GIG, EZE will continue with the 77W and SCL become daily.

AF is the sole player between the 3 biggest European (AF, LH and BA) that flies non-stop to the 4 markets. In fact none of the other two fly to more than 2.

AF switched from B772ER to B77W on the CDG-EZE route already during this current summer 2008. The loads are more than excellent in all the 3 classes and the yield is getting higher.

According to the above schedule posted there isn't any mention of the A380. I suppose for the first few flights it will go to YUL then make its way to other destinations (eg. NRT, SIN, JFK)?

The A380 for AF suffered another delay and is now due to be delivered in November 2009.
It will be used to JFK and YUL until the third aircraft is delivered, and then NRT & JFK.
Later on, PEK, HKG, LAX, SIN are planned by AF for the A380

I believe that daily A343 is not operated but Air France metal. It is an AF codeshare operated by MK.

Quoting FlySSC (Thread starter):
PPT = 4 x Weekly - A343

I read that changes are once again the making for this route. Different equipment may be dispatched to PPT.

Quoting FlySSC (Thread starter):
SCL = 1 x Daily - B772ER

That's pretty impressive. From a year round tag on to EZE, this route now becomes daily nonstop year round for the first time, all the while EZE got upgraded to B77W.

SIN = 1 x Daily - B77W

It continues to baffle me why AF doesn't add some capacity here. The daily B77W is just not enough. I hear stories about the bilateral, but with SQ running 10 weekly frequencies, I cannot imagine that AF could not do at least the same. Meanwhile, LH will be running a daily B744 + A346 apart from the SQ codeshare. At least KLM will be introducing larger equipment on the route, when it upgrades three of its weekly flights from B772ER to B77W from the end of June.

I didn't see CMN on the list of Africa&Middle East, do you have any information about CDG-CMN?

Fantastic to see AF super high-yield B77W back to GRU, there is market demand, and as I said AF B77W is far more suitable to GRU than KL B77W. GRU needs more C and F and not more Y seats!

AF/KL now decided what I was long expecting: revert GRU to a combination of AF B77W and KL B772. This was certainly a wise move.

Quoting FlySSC (Thread starter):
EZE = 1 x Daily - B77W

EZE was also requiring more C and F seats, I am sure AF read the results of LH in EZE.

CMN is not considered a long haul destination.
Just like Tunisia/Algeria/TLV, Morocco depends on the Europe-North Africa department.

Next summer 2009, AF will operate 4 x Daily flights on CDG-CMN-CDG (A319/20/21).

As you mentioned, the additional capacity required to SIN is for the moment added by KLM from AMS.
But I am sure that sooner or later, AF will have to add a second from CDG or use the A380, as it is rumored, on that route.

In my opinion KL B77W is not right an increase in capacity but a "dumping of Y seats". I really think that SIN yields (which we know are high) deserve something better than KL B77W. AF would do a far better work in SIN than KL at this point.

I think GIG has grown as strong as EZE over the past year (remember: from daily to double daily). In terms of premium seats EZE has indeed shown an impressive increase in capacity (the B77W entails a doubling of capacity in F), but in total seats supply I think GIG has increased more.

I assume than when you say "super high yield" your reference must be KL since other european competitors in GRU fly a higher yield configuration into GRU (i.e. LH & BA's 747's).

Quoting FlySSC (Thread starter):
YUL = 3 x Daily - 2 x B744 1 x B772ER

isn't AF flying the 77W into YUL this summer?

Not quite familiar but AF but have always caught my attention the fact that CDG-MIA and CDG-YYZ can be such low yield routes for AF to use a single B744.

I am referring to AF and KL fleet. AF B77W is the highest yielding of the entire AF/KL fleet, especially if you compare to what I call the "mega-buses" of the fleet: AF B747 and KL B77W.
But you are right, BA and LH B747s are higher yielding than AF B77W, correct.
