Is this yet another nail in the coffin of the KLM-Northwest tie up. Unless something happens on the other side of the atlantic, I can't possibly see Air France and KLM remaining in bed with different transatlantic partners.

The DL/KL codeshare was done at NW's urging, just as the KL/CO codeshare was supported by NW. Stop looking for evidence of something that does not exit. For your info, DL is supporting AF/NE codesharing!

Finally, no more having to connect in that hellhole CDG when I want to earn miles on the intra-Europe segment. Goodbye Charles-De-Gaulle, hello Schipol .

I hope there there will many more destinations announced soon. With all the nonstops beyond each hub, there's tons of unduplicated potential.

DL and NW are supporting each other because if the transatlantic partnership falls apart, one or the other will develop other alliances and the domestic alliance will fall apart and both carriers will be more vulnerable to other alliances. Until consolidation moves through the industry affecting DL and NW, they will stick together.
