Of the 650 million euros the German government has set aside, 390 million euros is for direct loans to Airbus. The remaining 260 million euros would cover interest costs for the development of the A350 should Toulouse, France-based Airbus fail to make the plane commercially successful."
The second paragraph quoted above is especially interesting.
It looks like the EU governments want to take the WTO battle over subsidies heads-on.
