Hi All-

I'm curious as to everyone's thoughts on Virgin's Premium Economy. I recently flew LHR-IAD rountrip in British Airways Premium economcy (got free upgrades both ways) and it was awesome. Would most def. use miles to upgrade between economy and premium economy on BA. Is Virgin's Premium economy worth the upgrade? It doesn't look so great...but I've never flown it. I know it has wider seats and more legroom, but do the seats recline more than economy? Any thoughts?

Cheers

Never flown VS premium economy, only J and Y.

I do know however that the premium economy varies on VS aircraft.

the new seats look very nice, and do recline much more than standard Y, you also get the chance on sitting on the upper deck of the B744's

some of the older A343's it (apparently) is not worth it as much as the seats are an older design and tired.

You get separate checkin in prem economy, and champagne/juice pre-flight drink service.

Food service is standard Y like that of BA.

If you are a VS flying club member you also get more miles for flying in this class  Smile

Been flying in PE for years, and absolutely recommend it - although Richard28 is right about some variation across the fleet.

If you're on a A340-600, it's fine. On a 747-400, the top deck is better and if it's a A340-300 pray for an upgrade (which regularly seem to happen, since PE seems to be getting more popular than the seat capacity these days).
