Fly Emirates, Keep Discovering

... yes I'm fully aware that the whole world knows those words, but for personal reasons they have a special place in my heart.

I saw this one a couple of years ago, and it has really stuck with me. It is just perfect:

I really liked Lufthansa's "Alles für diesen Moment" ("All for this one moment") slogan. To me, every trip is a collection of moments, some very nice and some less so. Many of the nicest ones involve an aircraft in some way or another, so LH managed to fit what flying means to me into one short line.

That's definitely my #2

Also an honourable mention to the "Spirit of Australia"

At the other end of the scale: Etihad Airways "From Abu Dhabi to the World". Lame.

I always found American's post September 11th television commercials to be very moving. Ending in the tag line:

"We are an airline, that is proud to bear the name American"

Cape Air (9K) used to have a postcard that had this picture on it:

and the slogan on it read "Leading the way 9 at a time"

I thought it was clever for the photo when you consider the lineup behind em!

UA's "Fly the Friendly Skies", used for more than 30 years (1965-1996) was good. Unfortunately, flying had become much less friendlier by the time the dropped it.

"Asia's First, Shining Through" (and its older iteration, "Shining Through"), the current PR tagline, is a very welcome departure from their recent set of cheesy taglines ("Clearly No. 1", "With Us, You're Always No. 1"). However, my favorite is still their 60th anniversary tagline, "It's About Experience".

I will never forget Western Airlines "the only way to fly". Mostly because of the TV ads which ended with a cartoon of a huge bird sitting on top of the fuselage in mid-flight leaning agains the tail, smoking a cigar, and saying the tag line.

I thought GA's slogan is Fly Ever Higher, and the Garuda Indonesia Experience is analogous to TG's Royal Orchid Service?
